Development framework

The Minerals and Waste Local Development Framework (owned jointly with Bedford Borough Council and Luton Borough Council), is a set of documents that contains the policies for making decisions on planning applications for quarries and waste management developments.

This includes:

• the Minerals and Waste Local Plan: Strategic Sites and Policies
• the Policies Map
• and, for Central Bedfordshire only, the saved policies in the Minerals and Waste Local Plan 2005
• a statement of community involvement (PDF), adopted in 2006
• the Supplementary Planning Document: Managing waste in new developments (PDF)
• the Minerals and Waste Monitoring Report (PDF)
