Business or employee permits are available to any owner or employee of a business without off-street parking for their vehicle. Businesses operating from residential premises i.e. with no specific planning permission, are not eligible for these types of permit.
Where you can park
Parking for permit holders is available Monday to Friday in designated car parks.
Having an employee/business permit does not guarantee you a parking space and vehicles must be parked in marked parking bays.
How to apply
Parking sessions are now virtual, meaning that you no longer need to display a permit in your vehicle. To apply for, or renew a parking session visit Permit Smarti (link opens in new window) and select the employee or business parking session. You will need to send proof of eligibility in the form of a letter on headed paper from your employer, stating that you are an employee.
For a business permit, you need to upload a copy of your current non-domestic rates bill, or alternatively a copy of a formal document showing the name and address of the business.
This can be either uploaded to the Permit Smarti app or sent in to us at parking@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk.
Apply for your parking permit online
Once we have accepted your application, you can log back on to purchase and start your parking session.
