Major
Use this form for major applications where the proposal includes any of the following:
- 10 or more dwellings
- a site area of 0.5 hectares or more (if the number of dwellings is not known)
- 1,000 square metres or more of new floorspace
- a site area of 1 hectare or more
Minor
Use this form for applications where the proposal includes any of the following:
- 1 to 9 dwellings
- a site area of less than 0.5 hectares
- up to 999 square metres of new floorspace, or development on a site of less than 1 hectare
- a change of use
Outline planning application
Outline planning application – major
Use this form for applications where the proposal includes any of the following:
- 10 or more dwellings
- a site area of 0.5 hectares or more (if the number of dwellings is not known)
- 1,000 square metres or more of new floorspace
- a site area of 1 hectare or more
Outline planning application – minor
Use this form for applications where the proposal includes any of the following:
- 1 to 9 dwellings
- a site area of less than 0.5 hectares
- up to 999 square metres of new floorspace, or development on a site of less than 1 hectare
- a change of use
Reserved matters application
Use this form to apply for approval of the details (‘reserved matters’) following outline planning permission. This may include:
- access
- appearance
- landscaping
- layout
- scale
