Update on the Ivel Valley School Consultation – 24 October 2025
Earlier this month (October 2025), we paused the consultation on options to expand Ivel Valley School. after discovering that some information shared externally differed from the official consultation materials and may have caused confusion.
We’ll be restarting the consultation after the half term break, during the week beginning 3 November.
When we do, to help clarify any misunderstandings, we’ll publish updated FAQs, which will be available via a link from this page. The consultation options and information will remain the same, and we’ll extend the original deadline so you have the same amount of time to respond.
If you’ve already submitted feedback this will still be valid so you do not need to resubmit your views.
Once the consultation is live again, we’ll also publicise this on social media and via our email bulletin alerts, which you can subscribe to for free to ensure all the latest information is sent direct to your inbox.
At the end of the consultation, all feedback will be reviewed and considered by our Children’s Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee and then our Executive Committee before deciding which option to progress.
The next stage will follow the Department for Education’s legal process for school changes and will include another consultation with more detail about the proposed classrooms and facilities.
We expect a final decision in early 2026.
