A fun, free, smartphone app that offers rewards for exercise.

Street Tag turns physical activity into a game and converts walking, running and cycling into Street Tag points (tags). Turning streets and parks into a giant virtual playground.

The family-friendly game rewards lower/ middle and Primary schools, families, individuals and communities for their physical activities such as walking, running, cycling.

When playing Street Tag, you can record the distance walked, run or cycled by scanning virtual tags with your smartphone at various geographic locations. Watch your total distance accumulate and see how far you climb up the local leaderboard and compare with other players. The app can run in the background, so it automatically collects tags in a 40-metre radius allowing you to focus on your journey and not your phone.

If you are in an area of Central Bedfordshire that doesn’t have many tags, you can also use the app to add more yourself, enabling you to collect extra points every time you go for a walk run or cycle.

Playing for your lower/middle and primary school

By walking, cycling, or ‘park and striding’ to school as well as getting out and being active when not at school, children, parents and teachers can earn points for their school to compete for rewards each term.

The Central Bedfordshire Schools leaderboard will run in 2 seasons and the prizes and dates are as follows:

• Season 1: 18 September 2023 to 28 Dec 2023
• Season 2: 7 February 2024 to 6 June 2024

Prizes for the school leader board

• 1st Prize: £200 for the school PTA
• 2nd Prize: £150 for the school PTA
• 3rd Prize: £100 for the school PTA
• 4th Prize: £75 for the school PTA
• 5th Prize: £50 for the school PTA
• 6th Prize: £50 for the school PTA
• 7th Prize: £50 for the school PTA
• 8th Prize: £50 for the school PTA
• 9th Prize: £50 for the school PTA
• 10th Prize: £50 for the school PTA

The top user in each winning school will win a £10 amazon voucher.

The top 5 most improved players in a season wil win a £10 Amazon voucher.

There is also bonus prizes for users of the community and schools leaderboard where you have the chance to be entered into the bi-monthly prize draw where 6 vouchers of £10 will be randomly picked for an active user of Street Tag.

• scan the QR code at your primary school
• earn points for your school from physical activities indoor and outdoor walking, running, cycling by scanning virtual tags and convert your steps into Street Tag points
• top the leader board to get rewards and the chance to win prizes from Street Tag

Playing in the community league

Families who are not supporting a primary school and individuals can take part in the Central Bedfordshire community league. You can play as a team of up to six, or as an individual to collect points for the chance to win rewards.

Every 14 to 16 weeks those top of the community leaderboard will win a reward from us.
