Equality and Diversity Forum
New strategy coming
We're currently developing our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy for 2023 to 2028.
We have set up an Equality and Diversity Forum. It meets on a quarterly basis.
It has representatives of different organisations and community groups working across Central Bedfordshire and neighbouring authorities.
Members have demonstrable knowledge, experience or expertise in Equality and Diversity issues and so can make a significant contribution to the work of we do via the Equality Forum.
Its role is to assist us with consultation on relevant matters, policies and procedures.
It also looks at our equality impact assessments and highlights issues that require further consideration.
It is vital for community engagement and is helps us ensure the diverse needs of the communities in the area are understood and that our strategies are developed with their needs in mind.
