Your voice matters: Have your say in our Renters' Rights Act Policy consultation
Consultation starts: Wednesday, 4 March 2026
Consultation ends: Tuesday, 31 March 2026
We want your views to help us:
- ensure the policy is clear and easy to understand
- improve how we protect tenants and support responsible landlords
Your feedback will shape the final version of the policy and inform how we use our enforcement powers going forward.
Your voice matters
We're now seeking feedback on the new policy and are carrying out a 4-week consultation.
We want to hear from all tenants and landlords, not just those who are currently renting privately or are current private landlords but from those who may rent in the future or become private landlords.
We are particularly keen to receive feedback from private tenants and private landlords, those considering renting in the future, those wanting to become landlords, people not privately renting. Hearing from all these groups will help us gain a full understanding of whether the proposed policy is reasonable, workable in practice, and clear and fair for everyone.
If you require a copy of the consultation summary document or questionnaire in an alternative format, please email consultations@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk or telephone 0300 300 8000.
What happens next
Once the consultation has closed, feedback will be collated and approved by the Assistant Director of Housing. If changes are made, they will come into effect from Friday 1 May 2026.
