Days out by bus in Bedfordshire

There are so many great places to visit around Bedfordshire – but did you know that you can get to many of them by bus?

Working with our partners at Luton and Bedford Borough Councils, we have launched a Days Out By Bus pilot campaign this summer, and have produced a guide featuring more than 25 brilliant places to visit around the area, from zoos and farms to historic houses and museums, with details of how to get to them by bus. If you’re feeling energetic, the guide also includes swimming pools, countryside walks and country parks. We’ve even been able to negotiate special discounts at some of the attractions for visitors arriving by bus!

Please note that some of bus stop locations listed in the leaflet may not be suitable for access by young children, people with limited mobility, pushchairs and wheelchairs.

For further accessibility guidance, AccessAble (formerly DisabledGo) is an online tool for accessibility information, surveying venues across the country. Please note, information on some of the venues in the Take the Bus Leaflet may not be on AccessAble, but you will find information about a wide range of locations in Central Bedfordshire.
