Have fun in our libraries this Easter
We have 12 libraries in Central Bedfordshire, each hosting a variety of activities this summer.

Ampthill Library
Throughout the Easter holidays, Ampthill Library is running a competition, where children can design an Easter egg based on a book cover or their favourite book character. The competition closes on Wednesday 23 April. Pop into the library to find out more.
The library are also running the following craft sessions next week, available every day while stocks last!
- Tuesday 8 April, make an Easter wreath
- Wednesday 9 April, LEGO club
- Thursday 10 April, pick-and-mix craft session
- Friday 11 April, Easter card craft session
- Saturday 12 April, the brand new 'creation station' will be open, and children will be able to play board games, do jigsaws and play with LEGO

Barton Library
- Wednesday 9 April, Magic Show with Krisgar from 10:30am to 11:15am. Suitable for children over 4 years old. Tickets cost £3.50 for children and £1 per adult. To book please drop into the library or call: 0300 300 8054

Biggleswade Library
Throughout the Easter holidays, the library is running an Easter treasure hunt, an Easter egg hunt and a family Easter quiz. You can also drop in next week for the following sessions:
- Tuesday 8 April, join a craft session to make a bunny
- Wednesday 9 April, rhyme time session from 10am, and stop by for an Easter colouring session
- Thursday 10 April, Easter lamb craft session
- Friday 11 April, colouring session in the morning, rhyme time session from 2pm and LEGO session from 3pm
- Saturday 12 April, there's a rhyme time session from 10am, and bunny craft session too, until stocks last

Dunstable Library
- Monday 7 April, decorate a spring pencil pot from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. This is suitable for children over 6 years old. Spaces are limited, so contact the library to book your free space by dropping in, or calling: 0300 300 8056

Flitwick Library
Drop in next week for lots of crafty sessions, including:
- Saturday 5 April, Frozen screening and activities! Costs £5 per adult, and £3.50 for children, concessions and students. Or book a family ticket for £15, which covers 4 people. Book in advance in the library
- Tuesday 8 April, make a sheep at a craft session! From 9am
- Wednesday 9 April, drop in any time from 9am for an Easter picture hunt around the library
- Thursday 10 April, join a craft session to make a spring bunny from 9am until stocks last
- Friday 11 April, daffodil craft session from 9am until stocks last
- Saturday 12 April, join the community craft workshop from 2pm to 3:30pm, to make a giant papier-mâché bunny – it will be messy! The event is free but you'll need to book tickets by dropping into the library

Houghton Regis Library
Pop into the library over the Easter holidays for a range of craft activities, and make:

- Wednesday 9 April, join a craft session to make Easter cowboy bonnets from 10am to midday. Spaces are limited so to book a space please drop into the library or call: 0300 300 8059

Potton Library
From Friday 4 April until Saturday 19 April, head to the library to take part in a dinosaur egg hunt! Look out for hatching dinosaurs in the market square, mark them off on a sheet from the library and when you return them you'll be entered into an Easter egg prize draw!
You can also head to the library next week for the following sessions:
- Tuesday 8 April, there will be a morning of Pokémon crafts and card swapping from 10am to 12:30pm. Make a Pikachu mask or an Evie
- Wednesday 9 April, join a craft session from 2pm to 5:30pm to create a countryside scene including lots of sheep!
- Thursday 10 April, Bluey, Bingo and Chattermax crafts from your favourite Bluey stories from 10am to 12:30pm
- Friday 11 April, join our Read-A-Thon from 9:15am to 1pm, and 2pm to 6pm. Young readers can read for as little or as long as they like and certificates will be awarded!
- Saturday 12 April, join our second Read-A-Thon from 9am to 4pm!

- Wednesday 9 April, craft session to make Easter chicks, Minions and fuzzy art
- Thursday 10 April, Easter card and flowers craft session
- Friday 11 April, a craft session where children can make an Easter wreath and a chicken in an egg

The library is running a spring treasure hunt from Tuesday 8 April to Saturday 19 April. Can you find all the flowers and insects hidden around the library? If you can then you’ll receive a helpful prize!
You can also pop in next week to join in with one of these sessions:
- Tuesday 8 April, story and rhyme time session, from 10:30am to 11:15am. Recommended for children up to 5 years old. Sessions are now limited to 10 children maximum, and spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis
- Wednesday 9 April, Easter craft session for children over 3 years old, from 2pm to 5pm
- Thursday 10 April, Hama beads session for children over 5 years old, from 9am to midday
- Friday 11 April, Easter craft session
- Saturday 12 April, Pokémon club from 9am to midday and LEGO club from 9am to 3pm

- Wednesday 16 April, Bunny Tails and Spring Songs show by Imajica Theatre. Shows at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. This event is for children between 3 and 8 years old, and siblings are welcome. Tickets cost £6. Book tickets for the Imajica Theatre show at Flitwick Library
- Thursday 17 April, Easter egg craft session from 9am until stocks last
- Thursday 17 April, Easter bunny button workshop from midday to 1:30pm. The event is free, but you’ll need to book by visiting the library
