Houghton Regis Day Centre for older people review
Following extensive mapping and engagement with Houghton Regis Day Centre, we have developed a proposal for a new enhanced day service.
A consultation began on 14 August 2023 and ran until the 6 November 2023. During this time, people who use the service, relatives and staff had the opportunity to have their say on the options being considered.
At its meeting on 6 February 2024, our Executive approved a proposal to move the current day service from its current building to new space at All Saints View and subsequently close the current centre. The move to All Saints View is pending, however the Houghton Regis Day Centre service will continue to run as normal, and the service remains open for new referrals.
All Saints View
All Saints View is a new independent living scheme for over 55s in the centre of Houghton Regis. If the service were to move there, it would have many advantages including access to community facilities, a wide variety of activities and the opportunity to meet new people.
