What to do if you're overcrowded
If you think you may be living in an overcrowded property, please email psh@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk. We will arrange to inspect your property to advise if your home is statutorily overcrowded.
There are circumstances in which it may not be reasonable for you to continue to live in accommodation that is severely overcrowded. Find out more about being homeless, including how to discuss your circumstances and rehousing options.
You may be eligible to join our housing register for an allocation of social housing, either from us or a housing association in the Central Bedfordshire area. You will need to fill in an online application form so that we can determine if you are eligible and qualify to join the register.
