Both councillors represent Caddington. Councillor Collins has served as a Central Bedfordshire councillor for 12 years, while Councillor Malone has served for three years following her election in 2023.

As Chair, Councillor Collins will continue to preside over Full Council meetings, represent the Council at civic and ceremonial events, and support local communities and organisations across Central Bedfordshire.

During his previous year as Chair, Councillor Collins nominated Amicus Trust as his chosen charity. The charity supports people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness. Over the year, £1,238 was raised through donations, helping to support the charity’s work.

Councillor Collins has chosen Autism Bedfordshire as his nominated charity for the year ahead. The charity provides support, information and services for autistic people and their families across Bedfordshire.

Councillor Collins said:

It is a real privilege to be re-elected as Chair of Central Bedfordshire Council and to continue representing the council and our communities over the year ahead.

My sincere thanks go to everyone who supported my chosen charity, Amicus Trust, during the past year. Thanks to their generosity, over £1,200 was raised to support its valuable work.

This year, I will be supporting Autism Bedfordshire as my nominated charity and look forward to help raise awareness of the important difference it makes to local people and families.

Councillor Malone said:

I am pleased to continue as Vice Chair of Central Bedfordshire Council and to support Councillor Collins in his role as Chair.

It is a privilege to represent the council at civic events and to support the important role the Chair plays in bringing people and communities together across Central Bedfordshire.
