School art competition

School art competition – what does school mean to you?

We want to reflect their voices of children and young people in the work that we do around our Capital Delivery programme by understanding what’s important to them.

As part of this, an art competition is now open for all children attending Central Bedfordshire schools.

For a chance to win an educational and/or construction-related prize, pupils must use their creative talents to draw or paint a picture that reflects what education or school means to them.

Prizes include activities such as careers talks, site visits and shadowing for young adults and for younger children, construction activities including a ‘digger day’ and bug hotel session. The full prize list is below.

The competition will run from January 15, 2024, until February 9, 2024, with entries coordinated via each participating school. Read the competition entry details and terms and conditions.

The themes that emerge from this competition will help us better understand what’s important to children and young people and could help inform how we proceed with our Capital Delivery programme.
