Central Bedfordshire will be hosting a stage of Britain’s biggest professional cycling race – the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men, for the very first time!

It’s the UK’s largest free-to-spectate live sporting event – this is a fantastic opportunity for our communities to enjoy world-class sport right on their doorstep.
We’ll be welcoming international cycling teams and fans from across the country as riders race through our towns, villages and stunning countryside. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a casual supporter, it's sure to be an unforgettable day for residents and visitors alike.
A detailed route through Central Bedfordshire will be announced later this month, and we’ll be sharing more information on road closures, spectator spots and community celebrations closer to the event.
What you need to know:

- plan ahead: traffic and travel updates will follow soon

Road closures
Woburn Street in Ampthill will be closed on 4 September, from 5am until 6pm.
