Alternative contact options

Phone numbers and support

We understand that sometimes you need to speak to someone directly – and you can. Contacting us online helps keep our costs down. However, if that is not an option, you can call us using the numbers below.

Waiting times may vary during busy periods. If you can use an online service, this is usually the fastest and easiest way to get what you need.

Finding the services you need

Use the main menu on our homepage, the search bar, or the A–Z of services at the top of the website.

Contact us

You can contact us by calling 0300 300 8000. This is the first step. Our automated system will help direct you to the right team, adviser or online service so your enquiry can be handled as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Our telephone lines are open:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 5pm
  • Wednesday from 10am to 5pm
  • Friday from 9am to 4:30pm

For emergencies outside these hours, use the out-of-hours contact numbers below.

Non-urgent enquiries

If your request is not urgent, you can use our contact form instead of calling. We aim to reply within 7 working days.

Telephone is still the quickest way to reach us if you need a faster response.
