Public weighbridge certificates
To operate a public weighbridge, you must have a certificate of competence.
Following your application you will be contacted within 5 working days to arrange a mutually convenient date for you to be tested by an Inspector of Weights and Measures at the premises where the equipment is located.
Fees
There is no charge for this certificate.

You can apply online for a public weighbridge operator's certificate.
What happens next?
After you submit a new application, we will contact you within 5 working days and arrange an inspection.
Tacit consent does not apply. It is a legal requirement that you must be tested before a certificate can be granted.
