Rural England Prosperity Fund

We have been allocated £1,061,854 from the Rural Prosperity Fund to deliver projects in 2023-24 and 2024-25. The Rural Fund is a top-up to the UKSPF and it succeeds EU funding from LEADER and the Growth Programme which were part of the Rural Development Programme for England.

The Rural Fund supports the aims of the government’s Levelling Up White Paper and Future Farming Programme. It funds capital projects for small businesses and community infrastructure. This will help to improve productivity and strengthen the rural economy and rural communities.

The Rural Fund objectives sit within the UKSPF investment priorities for 1) Supporting Local Business and 2) Community and Place.

Next steps

We are developing local objectives for the Rural Prosperity Fund and will submit this to central governments as an addendum to our UKSPF Investment.

When we have established the assessment and delivery mechanisms, we will publish the process for applications on this page.
