Key findings from the report:
- most people (88%) are looking to build a detached house
- 7% of those registered are looking to build a bungalow
- four-bedroomed homes are the popular choice (49%)
- the most desired locations for a plot are the parishes in the middle of Central Bedfordshire including Flitwick, Ampthill, Maulden, Woburn, down to Shillington and across to Northill
- 50% of people want to build their own home to high environmental standards
