Armed Forces Covenant

Armed Forces Covenant Fund

The timetable and funding priorities for the Covenant Fund 2016/17 have now been agreed.

The Covenant Reference Group has agreed 4 main priorities for 2016/17. These are:

  1. Veterans’ Gateway
  2. families in stress
  3. improving local covenant delivery (for local authorities)
  4. community integration / delivery of local services

In 2016, there are different eligibility rules and timescales for some of the priorities.

Priorities 2, 3 and 4 will be reviewed in two years' time.

The fund opened for applications on Wednesday 4 May 2016.

Who is eligible to apply?

Funding is limited, so only the very best projects will be funded. As this is an enduring fund, there will be plenty of opportunity to apply in the coming months and years if your project is not quite ready yet.

Many applications were rejected in 2015 which would have been better served by looking elsewhere for funding. The Covenant Grant Team is aware of the pressure on organisational resources, so would not wish time to be wasted developing an application that stands little or no chance of success.

If you are unsure whether your organisation or your project is likely to be funded, please do contact the Covenant Grant Team on in the first instance.
