This consultation is closed.
Although relocating the service to a space at the new Houghton Regis Community and Leisure Centre and then closing Townsend Day Centre is currently the Council’s preferred option, we want to hear your views before the Councillors make a decision about the future of the centre. Your feedback will help inform the decision Councillors make.
This is a more detailed briefing document - ‘Options considered for the future of Townsend Day Centre’. Paper copies are available on request.
You can ask us any questions or tell us your views through the methods on the next page. We are particularly keen to get your answers to the following questions:
- what are your views on our preferred option?
- are there any options listed that you think we should investigate in more detail?
- are there any other options that you think we should consider that are not in the document?
- What could we do to minimise the impact of any changes on the existing people at Townsend Day Centre and their relatives/representatives?
- do you have any other comments about the proposals?

- July 2024 - Report to Social Care, Health and Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee for recommendations
- August 2024 - Report to Executive Committee for decision on the future of Townsend Day Centre
