Public meetings

We held 2 public meetings at Ridgmont Lower School and 1 online for you to discuss the future of the school with Central Bedfordshire Council officers. These were:

  • October 30 (3:30pm to 5:30pm) at Ridgmont Lower School
  • October 31 (6:30pm to 7:30pm) - online via Microsoft Teams
  • November 1 (3:30pm till 5:30pm) at Ridgmont Lower School

It is important to recognise that a public consultation is not a vote or referendum, but an opportunity to hear your views on the future of Ridgmont Lower School. It allows us to better understand the impact any changes might have and help shape a proposal. It’s also an opportunity to hear about your ideas.

What happens next?

We will analyse all feedback received and return to the Executive with the results. If appropriate, based on the outcome of this consultation, a recommendation to undertake a statutory consultation may be required. If this is the case, it is likely to be in spring 2024, in which case, a decision from the Council would not be expected until summer of 2024 at the earliest.
