How does the consultation process work?
The Association of Electoral Administrators recommends two stages of consultation be undertaken for the review in line with the approach adopted by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE).
We've completed stage two of this consultation process.
The first stage ran from 20 April to 14 June 2022 and we asked people for their initial views. This feedback was compiled and presented to our General Purposes Committee on 25 August 2022.
The second stage of the consultation runs from 5 September 2022 to 30 October 2022. This will be to gather people’s thoughts on a recommendation. We're required to consult with local government electors in the area under review as well as any other individuals and organisations (including local authorities such as parish councils) who “appear to have an interest in the review”. We must consider all representations (written views) that it receives during the review’s period of consultation and will make all representations available for public viewing.
