What did we consult on?
We want your views on a process called a community governance review, for the parish of Arlesey. A community governance review enables a local authority such as Central Bedfordshire Council to review and put in place or make changes to community governance systems and structures.
For a community governance review, there are two stages of consultation. We'd completed the first stage, in which we asked for people’s views on a proposal to change the number of town councillors. Following analysis of consultation feedback which indicated a preference to reduce the number of councillors, a report was considered by our General Purposes Committee, which is now recommending a reduction from 12 to 7 Arlesey town councillors.
This second consultation stage asked people their thoughts on this recommendation.
