Voting as a student

Students are entitled to register at both their home address and university (term time) address if it is a different electoral area.

You must choose which you want to vote in. You can’t vote in two places – that’s an offence.

Voting when you are in prison

Prisoners serving a custodial sentence do not have the right to vote, but prisoners on remand are able to vote.

You need to be on the electoral register in order to vote. You can register online.
