Children’s social work workforce census
The children’s social work workforce census is collected annually. The census spans from 1 October to 30 September. Data is submitted to Department for Education (DfE.)
The return captures:
- the number of social workers
- the number of starters and leavers
- basic characteristics of social workers
- reasons for leaving
- the number of days social workers were absent
- time in service
