Social care is chargeable. If we have assessed your needs and you are eligible for care or support from us, we will carry out a financial assessment to determine how much you will have to pay towards your care.
A financial assessment tells us how much you can afford to pay towards your care and support. It looks at your:
- income, such as pensions and benefits
- assets, such as savings, investments, property and land
- expenses, which will be different for care at home and residential care
Calculating how much you might have to pay will depend on the services you need.
