Vaccines and immunisations for Ukrainian guests

On the 27 June 2022, the government updated guidance for individuals and families arriving from Ukraine, advising that all guests should register with a GP.

Registering with a GP ensures that someone’s health and care needs can be assessed and that they can access the necessary protection provided by immunisations from preventable infectious diseases.

It is particularly important that adults and children are up to date with the UK immunisation schedule. This is especially important for measles and polio vaccines, as polio was recently detected in London sewage and is a growing public health concern.

We are asking all sponsors to support their Ukrainian guests to register with a GP so they can have their necessary health and care needs assessed and make sure their immunisations are up to date.
