OSCAR safety car
Our Safety Car, better known as OSCAR, promotes road safety throughout Central Bedfordshire.
24% of all road fatalities on our roads are aged 17-24. OSCAR uses some clever technology to give young drivers a simulation of being in a car crash, helping build awareness and better driving habits.
Specially made films are displayed on the windscreen, with the sound system, hydraulic suspension, smoke machine and light show all adding to the experience.
OSCAR will be travelling to local events and visiting places such as upper schools and youth groups.
