An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and inspiring new Headteacher to lead

our Ofsted ‘Good’ Lower School.

We are seeking a Headteacher who will build on the school’s

existing high standards whilst bringing to the role their strong leadership expertise, skills,

ideas and commitment to excellence.

Woburn Lower School is a small rural school situated in the picturesque Georgian village of

Woburn, within the Duke of Bedfordshire’s country estate. The school is a Grade 1 listed

Tudor building which houses 60 pupils.

Woburn Lower School has a well-deserved reputation, benefitting from a valued and

motivated teaching staff, enthusiastic pupils, supportive parents and committed Governing

Board.

The school has achieved 100% in phonics for the last four out of five years and continues to

significantly out-perform both the Local Authority (and National) in its English and Maths

KS1 SATS results. The school is well resourced and subsequently provides a positive and

enriching learning environment for all its pupils.

Our next Headteacher will:

 Provide strategic leadership with a view to developing and improving an already Good school

 Work collaboratively to formulate the aims and objectives of the school

 Lead by example and model best practice regarding professional conduct, workload

and personal development
