When do I pay for my care?
You will be expected to contribute towards your care home from the date you move there. We hope to have completed the financial assessment and notified you of the contribution before you move.
You, or the person dealing with your finances on your behalf, will be invoiced for this amount from date of admission.
There are occasions when we are awaiting information in order to complete the financial assessment. In these circumstances we ask the care home to invoice you for a weekly standard figure called a 'default charge'.
If you are under 60 years of age the default weekly charge will be £80.45. If you are over 60 years of age the default charge will be £130.70 per week.
As soon as we have completed the financial assessment, both you and the nursing home will be notified of the revised contribution. They will adjust their invoices and resolve any over or under payments made.
