Reporting COVID-19 cases for education settings
Education settings are no longer asked to routinely report COVID-19 cases to our Public Health team.
However, community and voluntary controlled schools must continue to report any confirmed COVID-19 cases for workers via our online reporting form.
A COVID-19 case is confirmed if a worker has received a positive COVID-19 test result.
A COVID-19 case is confirmed if a worker has received a positive COVID-19 test result. There is no need to report suspected or unconfirmed cases. Workers include agency and unpaid volunteers who take part in ‘in-person’ school activities. All education settings should continue to maintain good records of COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 related illnesses to support any potential future outbreak management.
