Ringing the changes for new Dunstable wedding venue

Thursday, 24 January 2019

Couples who want to tie the knot in Dunstable, have a new venue, Priory House, for their nuptials.

As Priory House is now an approved venue for marriages and civil partnerships, the beautiful Grade II Listed building on High Street South benefits from manicured, award-winning, gardens which will provide the perfect venue for weddings and civil partnerships. All enquiries to prioryhouse@dunstable.gov.uk.

Grove House, which is currently used as a wedding venue, will be closing after 8 June but with Priory House open as a licensed location, it means that there is still a Dunstable Town Council venue available for couples to hold their ceremonies.

Our registration service will be relocating to Watling House for appointments to register births and deaths and to give notice of marriage or civil partnership.

Councillor Richard Wenham, Executive Member for Corporate Resources said: "I’m delighted that we have been able to work with Dunstable Town Council to get the beautiful Priory House approved as a wedding venue. This move is good news for Dunstable as it means that we can continue to provide this important service for residents who want to get married in their home town.

"By moving our registration service to Watling House in the town, it maximises the use of our own buildings, and is familiar to the people of Dunstable who already make appointments to come in and speak to us."
