We want those who receive care at home to live their best life

Wednesday, 15 June 2022

Our home care provider contract is shortly coming to an end, and we are set to review and renew, the service that will be in place from April 2023.

Before we commit to a new contractual framework, we want to hear from those who receive home care services, their family carer or representative, about what works well and to discover any suggestions on improving home care services.

We welcome your views and would like your feedback by Friday 8 July.

NHS Digital Satisfaction Surveys carried out a recent annual review of our adult social care services. Following on from that, we are now running a care receiver/family member survey which will feed into these broader outcomes to help shape future service delivery. This current survey is a supplement to the ‘Working Together for Change’ engagements and provides yet more scope for ensuring everyone has an opportunity to have their say.

Councillor Carole Hegley, our Executive Member for Adult Social Care, said:

Our range of home care services are person-centred and are designed help people to remain independent and continue to live at home. We strive to support individuals to live their very best life, it’s at the heart of what we do. There is no-one better placed to tell us what works well than the people who receive services and those close to them.

We enjoy excellent relationships with home care providers who support people with ‘personal care’ and ‘support at home’ and we want to ensure that we continue to provide the right, tailor-made, care at home for those who need it.
