We're seeking opinions to help refresh our Children and Young People's Plan

Friday, 13 May 2022

We're asking children, young people, parents, carers and professionals who work with children for their thoughts to help shape and refresh a Children and Young People's Plan for 2022 to 2025.

We're working closely with Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), East London Foundation Trust (ELFT), Cambridgeshire Community Services (CCS), SNAP Parent Carer Forum and Bedfordshire Police to ensure a refreshed Children and Young People's Plan outlines how services can work together to support and help children and young people in Central Bedfordshire enjoy life, have high aspirations and reach their goals.

In the survey, children and young people are invited to share the support they need to be happy, safe, and healthy, and what’s important to them now and in the future. Professionals, parents, and carers are invited to share what they think needs to be better for children and young people’s education, safety, physical and mental health and leisure.

Find out more and complete the survey.

Councillor Sue Clark, our Executive Member for Families, Education and Children, said:

Our existing Children and Young People’s Plan was created before the pandemic, and now needs to be refreshed. We want to make sure we have the right services and support in place so our children can be safe, and live happy, healthy lives. We would like to hear from as many people as possible about what we can do to better support our children and young people, so please do take part in the survey.
