Free business support webinar for Central Bedfordshire businesses

Friday, 19 November 2021

We're hosting a free webinar for businesses (Tuesday 30 November, 2:30pm to 3:30pm).

The webinar will explain the current support programmes available to businesses via funding from the government’s Additional Restrictions Grant scheme in response to COVID-19 and to support our Vision 2050 ambitions and economic strategy priorities (find our economic strategy on becentralbedfordshire.co.uk), which includes building local prosperity.

We're working with four local partners to deliver a package of wider business support programme until March 2022:

  • The University of Bedfordshire's Central Bedfordshire Productivity Programme is aimed at companies thinking strategically about productivity as a route to long-term growth
  • Cranfield School of Management's Ready for Scale Programme supports micro and small enterprises with a 12-week growth plan to develop the skills to help their business to take the leap on its growth trajectory
  • SEMLEP's intensive business support offers 12 hours of mentoring, business support, and access to a grant (this support is targeted for businesses to continue trading, adapt and diversity and support job creation towards sectors, groups and places disproportionately impacted by COVID-19)
  • Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce's Go Global Business Support Programme offers support with international markets and supply chains, providing a package of global trade services

Councillor David Shelvey, our Executive Member for Corporate Resources, said:

We are delighted to be able to continue offering free support for our businesses. I encourage businesses to attend the webinar to see what course would best suit their needs, whether a start-up or long-established there is support on hand for everyone.

By partnering up with four innovative organisations, we are able to provide unique and high-quality support to businesses as they navigate through continually changing times.
