We’ve 34 new waste and recycling trucks for Central Bedfordshire…can you help us name them all?

We need your help to name our trucks

Name our bin trucks

We'd love you to help us name the 34 brand spanking new waste and recycling trucks, which took to our roads at the beginning of February this year!

The 34, state-of-the-art, trucks will be working hard for years to come, collecting the likes of:

  • glass bottles and jars
  • plastic bottles
  • pots, tubs and trays
  • food cans
  • drinks cans
  • cartons
  • garden waste

So, get your creative juices flowing and come up with inspired names for our trucks. The 34 best responses, as selected by our panel of judges, will feature on the side of the trucks for all to see!

How to send us your name ideas

The deadline is midnight on 22 March 2020. All entries must be less than 25 characters and please, keep it clean!

Councillor Ian Dalgarno, our Executive Member for Community Services said:

The trucks took to the roads in February as part of our new contract with FCC Environment. The new contract will improve efficiency and deliver value for money whilst also giving us the opportunity to introduce new recycling services to our residents later in the year.
