Dunstable shop closed down for selling illegal vapes and counterfeit tobacco

Thursday, 11 June 2026

We've taken action to protect local residents by securing a closure order against a Dunstable shop that has been found to be selling illegal tobacco and vaping products.

Mega Romanska, located at 11 High Street South, Dunstable, has been ordered to close for 3 months after Luton Magistrates' Court granted the order on 11 June 2026. The closure order makes it a criminal offence to enter the premises during this period.

Councillor Liz Childs, our Executive Member for Public Protection, said:

This closure order sends a clear message that illegal trading will not be tolerated in Central Bedfordshire. Illicit tobacco and vaping products pose a risk to public health and undermine legitimate businesses, and we will continue to take action to protect our communities.

We’re grateful to the members of the public who came forward with information. Their support was vital in enabling us to take this action and keep our residents safe.
