Caroline Maudlin

We are deeply saddened to share that former Councillor, Caroline Maudlin, passed away on 24 November 2025 after bravely facing cancer.
Caroline dedicated many years of service to the community, representing the Sandy ward from 2009 until May 2023.
During her time with Central Bedfordshire Council, Caroline served as Chairman from May 2013 to May 2015 that included raising money for her chosen charities, having previously been Vice-Chairman, and once again stepped into the role from January to May 2023. Caroline also chaired the Development Management Committee from May 2022 to May 2023 and was a Deputy Executive Member from May 2015 to May 2019 making a significant contribution to Cheering Volunteering.
Caroline will be remembered for her commitment, leadership, and the positive impact she had on so many. On behalf of Central Bedfordshire Council, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Caroline’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
