Monday, 5 August 2019

We've launched a brand-new website designed to provide residents aged 15-30 years old with advice and guidance on careers and education.

The Find Your Future site will build upon our successful brand of career events to offer young people reliable sources of information all in one place about the opportunities available to them.

If you're not sure what you want to do, the website can help you with important advice, support and decision-making and finding the right path.

With information on key growth sectors, both locally and nationally, you can find out about the types of jobs in each sector, the skills needed and prospects, alongside number of employers in the area.

If you're a parent, it's a useful tool to help you support your child make their next steps in work with events listings on open days, careers fairs and advice on CV writing, preparing for an interview and employability skills.

Or, if you're seeking new education options, the website can help guide you through making choices on what’s on offer at different transition stages, as well as financial assistance.

Councillor Sue Clark, our Executive Member for Children’s Services, said:

We’re delighted to launch this website as finding the right information, when there’s so many different sources, can be a minefield. We believe Find Your Future can help provide the starting point to set people in Central Bedfordshire on the right path for them, whether that’s in employment, internships and apprenticeships or finding the education course that’s right for them.
