There have also been many individual success stories across Central Bedfordshire.

Stratton School – Matt King Sixth Form

Principal Sam Farmer said he was “thrilled for these students,” adding that the school’s “excellent results” reflect how “they have worked incredibly hard over the past two years.”

He added: “We value our students’ sense of responsibility and pride in their studies, and I’ve been proud to see them demonstrate kindness, engagement, and ambition—three of our core values—throughout this time.

I am very pleased to see our students who wanted to continue their studies at university receive so many first-choice acceptances. We also wish the best of luck to those taking on post-18 apprenticeships or continuing their education through direct training and employment.

One standout student was Alex Watters, who achieved four A*s and will be continuing their education at Imperial College London, studying Aeronautical Engineering.

Cedars Upper School

Mark Pantling, Head of Sixth Form, praised the students’ commitment and perseverance, saying the results are:

A real testament to their dedication and focus. We are immensely proud of every single one of them.

Among those celebrating was Sophie Jacobs, who achieved three A* grades and will go on to study Biochemistry at the University of Bath.

Sharnbrook Academy Sixth Form

Jackie Hankins, Head of Sixth Form, said:

These results are a testament to our students’ dedication, resilience, and academic excellence. It has been a genuine pleasure to work alongside our Year 13 cohort, and I have no doubt they will go on to accomplish great things.

Many of our students have secured places at universities across the UK, while others have accepted apprenticeships, enrolled in further education, or moved directly into employment. We are incredibly proud of every one of them.

Among the successes was Marco Faria, who achieved four A* grades and will be studying engineering at university.
