Have your say on how we manage freight – your voice matters

Friday, 8 November 2024

We're asking for views on our draft Freight Strategy, which sets out our approach to managing freight movement in Central Bedfordshire.

Image reads: "Do you have a view on heavy goods vehicles in Central Bedfordshire?" and has a photo of a fleet of lorries.

The strategy aims to support the freight and logistics sector whilst minimising the negative impacts movements can have on residential communities, and to encourage freight movements to be as sustainable as possible.

The Freight Strategy will be out for public consultation for 6 weeks.

The consultation will close at 10am, 20 December 2024.

Councillor John Baker, our Executive Member for Highways, said:

This updated strategy is about how we plan to manage freight movement across Central Bedfordshire, supporting the needs of local businesses whilst mitigating the impacts on local communities.
