National survey seeks views from adult social care users in Central Bedfordshire

Monday, 15 January 2024

A national NHS England survey will be delivered this week to adults aged 18 and over, who use adult social care services in Central Bedfordshire.

We're posting the annual Adult Social Care Survey to a randomly selected sample of people who are in receipt of long-term support services funded or managed by our adult social care service.

It will be sent to a sample of people living in the community, people in residential or nursing homes, and people with a learning disability. For those who have a learning disability, an "easy-read" version will be provided.

The questionnaire will ask people about the services and care they receive and the impact that these services have on their lives. It will also collect information about their general health and wellbeing.

Councillor Mark Smith, our Executive Member for Adult Social Care, said:

It is important we gather this information every year to help improve our adult social care services. We use the results of the survey, together with data from other consultations to inform service development and improvement.

The survey is completely optional, but I would encourage anyone who receives one, to please complete it and let us know their views on accessing adult social care services in Central Bedfordshire.

The results will be used by us, the Care Quality Commission and NHS England to improve services and enable improved choices for people.

People have until 8 March to respond with their views and will be provided with a prepaid envelope to return the completed form.
