Pay and benefits of working in our children's early intervention team

Pay

Staff are employed on nationally agreed terms and conditions, but with some local variations to pay.

Social work qualifications and skills are in particular demand and we recognise the need to pay competitive salaries, particularly in front-line teams where the demand is greatest.

Pay varies between services and will be detailed in individual job adverts, but the base salary ranges are below:

  • social worker Level 1 - £32,441 - £35,107
  • social worker Level 2 - £35,992 - £37,536
  • senior practitioner - £38,479 - £41,632
  • social work consultant - £42,630 - £47,582
  • team manager - £48,585 - £52,547

Plus a standard Market Rate Supplement (MRS) of up to £5,150 and enhanced MRS of up to £8,000.

If you are a qualified Social Worker, Senior Practitioner or Team Manager (where qualification required), we will pay for your Social Work England registration fees annually.

Hybrid Working

We recognise the importance of supporting our employees to balance their home and work life and to be able to work in the most efficient way. As a hybrid worker, you will be able to carry out work from your home on a daily basis or from any of our CBC offices as needed.

We offer a one-off £250 payment to help you create a safe and suitable set up to work at home, and will also support you to work abroad for up to a month a year.
