Postal strikes

Due to the current postal strikes, we cannot guarantee that your certificate will arrive as expected. Any certificates posted between 25 October and 2 December that are reported to us as “lost in the post” will not be replaced until 20 working days have passed. We advise customers to collect their certificates from the Court House in Ampthill or to nominate someone to collect them on their behalf.

We can provide certificates for the following events, if they took place in Central Bedfordshire:

  • marriage
  • civil partnership
  • birth
  • death
