Birth certificate amendments

Re-registration of a birth can only occur in the following circumstances:

• to add the father's details if he wasn't present at the registration
• if parents marry each other after the birth of a child

Birth certificates

The registrar will advise you of the fees involved; certificates can then be issued at the registration, if the baby was born in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford.
