Royal garden parties

15 May 2018: Royal Garden Party,
The first of this year's Royal Garden Parties was held on Tuesday 15th May. Among the invited guests from Bedfordshire were Azra Jan with her from One Stop Advice Centre, Luton with her father and Mrs Hardeep Barhey with her husband. Both were absolutely thrilled to be nominated by the Lord-Lieutenant to attend the Royal Garden Party and had a thoroughly enjoyable day with their guests.

"I would like to thank you very much for nominating me for afternoon tea at Buckingham Palace. It was an honour to be recognised through Girl Guiding for all the hard work and commitment I have put in over the last 30 years. I have run a Brownie unit in Dunstable now for 30 years, been District Commissioner twice and I am at present Division Commissioner for Dunstable. My other roles have been residential advisor and I am mentoring new people on a regular basis. I thought I would attach some photographs of my day at the Palace which I thoroughly enjoyed."
