School Admissions Arrangements 2025 consultation results

From 22 October 2025 to 3 December 2025 we consulted on the proposed admissions arrangements for the academic year 2027 to 2028. This set out proposals for Shillington Lower School, Edward Peake CofE VC School and St Andrew’s CofE Primary School.

Proposals

Shillington Lower School, Shillington (Community school)

Proposed to lower the published admissions number of the school from 30 to 15 for admissions into the school’s point of entry (reception) for the 2027 to 2028 academic year and beyond.

Edward Peake CofE VC School, Biggleswade (Voluntary Controlled school)

The proposed admission arrangements remove the catchment area. After priority is given to looked after and previously looked-after children, and to children of staff, places would be allocated in the following order: children with a sibling at the school, children attending local feeder schools, children whose parents satisfy the faith-based requirements and then all other children

St. Andrew’s CofE VC Primary School, Biggleswade (Voluntary Controlled school)

The proposed admission arrangements remove the catchment area for both sites. After priority is given to looked after and previously looked-after children, and to children of staff, places would be allocated in the following order: children with a sibling at the school, children living in the ecclesiastical parish of St. Andrew’s Biggleswade whose parent or carer has attended a Church of England or other Christian church once a month for one year prior to their application being made, and then all other children.
