Looking for a new job, skill, or a way to change career? Here's your chance!
Central Bedfordshire Council, in conjunction with Peter Smythe Transport Training, are offering free training to help you become a bus driver! This course is perfect if you live in Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire, or Luton and already have a full car licence.
What's included?
- free training to get your bus driver's licence (Category D PSV)
- guaranteed job interviews with local bus companies at the end of the course (imagine getting a job offer right after finishing!)
- a mix of fun classroom sessions and online learning to cover everything you need to know about being a bus driver
- practical training to help you pass your bus driving test
Training will be delivered in a mixture of small groups and one-to-one sessions and is funded through the Department for Transport's Bus Service Improvement Plan process. Over 100 candidates are already progressing through the programme, with many already qualified and out enjoying their new bus driving career! All we ask is that you give 100% commitment to your new career.
The next recruitment event will take place at Leighton Buzzard Library, Lake Street, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1RX between 10am and 5:30pm on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September.
