Cancellation policy for Central Bedfordshire foster carers/Adoption Connects
The standard cancellation charge of £25 is applied for failure to attend training without notice or cancel training at short notice.
However, if you contact the training officer and give forewarning and an appropriate reason for your cancellation, the cancellation charges will not apply.
How to book
For training that is held in a classroom or virtually online, you can book using the Learning Management System (LMS), places are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: LMS is a booking system only, delegates will be emailed joining instructions nearer to the date of training.
If you are applying for training and are an adopter or foster carer for a neighbouring local authority then please contact your training officer who will need to raise a purchase order to secure your booking so that an invoice can be raised.
Delegates will be sent confirmation by email as soon as their place is reserved.
Waiting lists
If a course is oversubscribed, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and contacted should a place become available.
Attendance
Delegates should attend for the whole duration of the training for the training to be marked as completed. An evaluation form is sent to all delegates who attend and will need to be completed following training and returned to the email below.
Note that if you are booking on to training as a couple, both will need to book to attend.
E-learning
This is provided by Central Bedfordshire Council LMS and ENABLE which can be self-assigned. E-learning via KCA or A C Education is assigned on request by contacting the training officer.
Once assigned, you will need to complete the online course within 6 weeks of receiving your login details. If the course is not completed within the timescale, a charge of £25 will be charged.
