Feedback about our Jigsaw Service

What schools say about us

An enormous thank you to you and the team. The whole journey has been one of professionalism, compassion, can do and cooperation. It has been a privilege to work with you all and I have personally learned an enormous amount.

The impact you have had on the family and staff has been immeasurable. I can't thank you enough for the support you have given me. I felt very much part of an effective team throughout and while I hope we don't have to refer another child too soon; I would look forward to working with you again. You have made me challenge lots of ideas which I always thoroughly enjoy and are better for.

How lucky we are to have you championing our students.

The team were quickly able to identify [the child’s] additional needs and advise of strategies to put in place to help us support him effectively. The referral was accepted quickly and we were contacted within a few weeks. Observations and an initial assessment were given with strategies to implement, while we were waiting for the first PSP meeting.

The opportunity to meet with parents and [our Jigsaw adviser] on a regular basis to discuss [the child]. We were able to notice a pattern with when during the term [the child’s] behaviour would change. It was really useful to hear the similar challenges parents also faced. The strategies [the Jigsaw adviser] suggested we put in place are working such as the behaviour thermometer, lining up order etc.

The support given to staff to understand the child and support her better-strategies that we hadn’t thought of.

Thank you. We really enjoyed the training last week.

We have all learnt and benefitted greatly from your knowledge and experienced. Thank you for being so understanding of us and our needs. We are so appreciative.

Collaboration with parents and suggested useful strategies to support in school and at home.

Thank you so much for your support. I really appreciate the time you have taken to get us through to this point.

Parents

Parents are invited for a tour of the centres where they will be provided with any relevant documents required prior to their child attending.

There are regular meetings and feedback opportunities during the placement and a post and pre placement evaluation completed.

We welcome continuous feedback and communication with parents.

What parents say about us

The understanding of my child's behaviour and plenty of advice and tips on how to manage him. I felt supported the whole time.

Thank you for your continued support.

We are happy to have you supporting us…The support given to [our child] was excellent.

Regular meetings to discuss needs and progress made. Training session we received to support and understand [our child] further. Setting up and using the communication passport. Knowing that I could contact [the Jigsaw adviser] for advice and support if needed.

We would like to thank you and your team for all the help and support you have given our son over these last 15 days we are truly grateful.

He has had a great time as I’ve seen in his workbooks and we’re so proud of him, there’s more work in those books done over the last 15 days than he’s done in mainstream school, so thank you once again.

To all at Jigsaw, thank you so much for all you have done for my child. You are all amazing.

Thank you for encourage positive thinking and giving my son motivation to work towards something.

Jigsaw staff didn’t just support my child, they supported me and my whole family. I was never judged, Jigsaw just listened to me. My child went from an angry child to a pleasant child. He speaks politely and wants to do more work. If it wasn’t for Jigsaw I don’t know where he would he be now.

Jigsaw was one of the few agencies involved that put my child’s interests at the top of their list of priorities, which was essential to allow us the freedom to fight for her interests elsewhere knowing that she was safe and supported. They also supported us in achieving her SEND diagnosis, which would not have happened otherwise – we were not alert to the possibility.

I wish that all children had the opportunity to receive the insight and support of the jigsaw team. The school have noticed her contributing in a more mature way than her contemporaries to Personal Development lessons, and she now understands herself and when she needs help. She also knows and feels that she deserves and is allowed to access appropriate support, through the work of the team, which she did not believe before. She knows what she finds hard and can anticipate challenges better.

I can’t recommend the team highly enough.
